THE BLUEPRINT

EDITION #5

WELCOME Welcome to vol.5 of the MRG newsletter!

We’re collectively thriving, or wilting, in this unusually hot weather. Despite the heat, there’s a buzz of excitement in the air – what with Birmingham hosting the Commonwealth games, and the Lionesses winning the Euros, and a great energy in the office with new faces, successes, celebrations, and achievements. Southern England has experienced the driest July since records began in 1836, sparking a hosepipe ban across multiple counties. Temperatures in August are set to soar into the mid-30s again – so even more reason to be thankful for the overenthusiastic office aircon. Following the Summer Conference celebrating MRG’s 15th birthday last month, we’re bringing you lots of important updates from across the company, including some essential training to help you get the most out of our new website and rebrand.

CSR GROUP

CHARITY MRG’s Summer Fundraising Event

The Thames Bridges Trek is taking place on Saturday 10th September raising funds for our charity partner, Suited for Success. Join 2000 walkers and trek across the Capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline, and historic landmarks. Setting out from the Putney Bridge start we head East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges – each with its own fascinating story – and a mid-point rest stop near The Oval Cricket Ground for some snacks & drinks. 25km later, it’s a party style finish line celebration in Southwark Park past the final crossing – the majestic Tower Bridge. The event offers three different fundraising options, depending on what suits you best, and you can sign up here. When selecting the charity, please select “other” and you will see Suited for Success in the drop down menu.

For the start time, please choose 11am.

Partners and children are welcome to join us.

Some of you will recall this fundraising events from a few years ago, it was a great day with lots of money raised.

We hope to see you all there, let’s get fundraising!

If you’re unable to make it, please still get involved with fundraising and supporting the walkers.

Any questions, please ask Stephanie, Hannah or Charlotte T.

Charlotte Rush has so far completed 2 of the personal brand courses with a couple left to do. “As I’ve been saying in the training; I’m not expert but it’s something that really interests me so I do a lot of research on it and can see that those people who build a great personal brand, reap lots of rewards from it. More than happy to have 121 sessions too if you’re struggling with where to start having attended the training.”

Next session to be held Thursday 11th August in person @ 15 Bishopsgate.

The final session will be held via teams, on Tuesday 16th August.

Please ensure you RSVP to one of these sessions, if you haven’t been able to attend a session so far.
