COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY PURCHASING DEPARTMENT 800 ALLEGHENY AVENUE, PITTSBURGH, PA 15233 ADDENDUM 1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 3130 VENDING/ENHANCED VENDING RETAIL FOODSERVICE OPERATIONS APRIL 14, 2022

Please note that the due date has been extended one week to April 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

Various Questions and Answers:

1. Who is responsible for maintaining equipment? The vendor is responsible for maintaining/securing any of their equipment that they provide. CCAC would maintain responsibility for anything owned by the college and provided for use.

2. Can you provide a list of all attending companies for the Pre-bid meeting and on-site walk through?

3. Would you consider a separate contract for vending and the dining program? If so, how would the contracts work through the college? Yes, we would review proposals for separate vending and dining agreements. Vendors may provide proposals for consideration.

4. Can you describe the current financial model with you foodservice and vending provider? Prior to the pandemic, a $5,000 per month vending commission was paid by the vendor.

5. Can you share Vending sales by month for the last 3 years? See the attached three- year pre-pandemic synopsis.

6. Can you provide the dining service sales for the past 3 years? If possible, can you break out by month? See below representative year July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

7. To confirm, there are not board plans at CCAC? Correct, students are all commuting.

8. Is the college interested in a cost reimbursable contract with the dining vendor? The college is open to reviewing various options suggested by vendors. Please submit proposed contract details with your response for CCAC’s consideration. 9. To confirm, the Starbucks is operated by the bookstore? Correct, Follett Higher Education Grou p operates and manages the College’s bookstores and the Starbucks Café.

10. Can you share the amount of annual catering preformed prior to COVID? See chart for amounts paid to the current vending and food service provider for catering.

11. Can you provide a count of the vending machines in use?

There are a total of 69 machines between all of the locations. 39 Cold Beverage 4 Hot Beverage 4 Fresh Food 22 Snack Machines

12. Can you provide estimated headcounts for Fall 2022, that will be on campus?

The budgeted FTE/Headcount numbers for next year are as follows. Of these, we are projecting to have 60-70% in person for classes.

13. Can vendors incorporate suggested renovations in their proposal? Yes, please incorporate any suggested facility upgrades as an option in your response for the CCAC’ s consideration.

14. Are Coca Cola products only required? CCAC does have an agreement currently in effect that requires Coke products only on our campuses.
