Introduction Thames Valley Police (TVP) is the largest non-metropolitan force in England and Wales and has a substantial portfolio spread across the three counties of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. The Force polices a wide variety of locations, including major towns and cities, such as Oxford, Reading and Milton Keynes, as well as extensive rural communities and a number of thriving market towns. The Force has a significant and diverse property portfolio which extends to approx.150,000 sqm across 119 sites with nearly 200 individual buildings. The estate is varied including police stations, residential accommodation, training facilities, industrial assets, and various specialist facilities. Thames Valley Police are seeking to appoint a Capital Project Manager, who will play a key role in the development and delivery of a wide range of construction projects from brief development, through design, procurement, into construction and practical completion. Projects will typically be in the range of £100k - £5m. Reporting to the Head of Capital Projects you will be responsible for the day- to-day project management of various capital and minor works projects ensuring the deliverables are achieved to the agreed time, cost and quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop their career in a client-side, project management role, responsible for a diverse range of projects across an impressive estate portfolio.

Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is one of the 43 police forces in England and Wales and is the largest non-metropolitan force. It covers over 2,200 square miles and three counties: Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Thames Valley serves a diverse population of over 2.34m people which has grown by 10% over the past decade. The force operates across 12 local policing areas and is responsible for policing 196 miles of motorways.

The Portfolio

The Thames Valley built estate extends to approx.150,000 sqm across 119 sites with nearly 200 individual buildings. The range of building types and ages within the portfolio is varied although the bulk of the current estate was constructed between the early1960s and the mid1990s.
