You will connect with other students, become familiar with campus, and get acquainted with the many resources available to you. We want to help prepare you for a successful academic experience. For some this may be a faith based experience, for others it may be volunteering or decompressing in the beautiful outdoors. Come see the many opportunities at CWU for you to feed your inner self. LIP SYNCWORKSHOP 2:30PM - 5PM | Your Residence Halls Do you like to dance or sing along to your favorite songs? Do you enjoy performing in front of a crowd? If so, become a part of your community’s lip sync team! Ask your RA for details on how to join. Residence hall teams will show off their routines Monday night at 7PM in the McConnell Auditorium. Lip sync teams are judged on originality, creativity, stage presence, lip-syncing, choreography, hall cheer, and audience response – so even if you don’t want to be on stage, come out and cheer for your community!

Learn tools and resources to navigate life outside the classroom. We cover nutrition tips, healthy relationships, sexual health, stress and time management, balancing academics, social life, and more. Pick up a snack while you’re here! BANKING BASICS 101 Science 203 | US Bank As a community service, US Bank has developed a series of learning modules to assist you in gaining an understanding of various banking and financial-related services, processes and concepts. This module’s objectives are “How to Use a Checking Account” and “Benefits of a Savings Account.” We hope you find this learning experience enlightening and helpful in your efforts to gain more knowledge about how to manage your finances. CONQUERING CREDIT Science 240 | US Bank This workshop will focus on credit and interest, how credit works and how to avoid common traps like making “minimum payments.” See how small-everyday expenses can add up. CWU & SUSTAINABILITY Discovery Amphitheater Visit the sustainable buildings on campus, many of which are U.S. Green Building Council LEED certified. They utilize features such as water conserving fixtures, heat recovery systems, solar photovoltaic panels and solar hot water heaters. This session will cover some helpful information about developing healthy self-care habits that can help you to be successful–both academically and socially during your years at CWU. We will also give some pointers about how to get connected on campus.

WHEN THE STARS ALIGN: YOUR CAREER PATH Discovery 101 Planetarium | Career Services & Physics Faculty

While it may be fun to read your horoscope, using astrology to choose a career may not be the best plan. During this session experience the Lydig Planetarium and learn about Astronomy and them many career exploration tools offered through the CWU Career Services. WILDCAT DISCOVERY TOUR AT THE BROOKS LIBRARY/ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER Brooks Library Come to this session to meet the friendly and very helpful people at the Academic & Research Commons (ARC). The ARC staff will demystify the services they offer and make it easy for you to get the research and academic support you will need at CWU.
