EQUIPMENT CHECK

MAINTENANCE

COVID PROTOCOLS

Your Sensory Room should be cleaned regularly and a thorough cleaning at the beginning and the end of the school year. This will allow your investment to be in good working condition for many years. Bubble Tubes require the most maintenance and should be emptied and cleaned if not in use. See instructions to follow. All other equipment needs to checked on a regular basis for wear and repairs or replacements made.

Follow guidelines provided by your district. Because Sensory Rooms are public areas, cleaning between users will most likely be required. If you have our Bubble Tubes, the only cleaner that will properly disinfect and avoid damage to the acrylic tube is our hospital-grade Sensory Room Disinfectant Spray (9BCC) on all equipment. UVC light wands are effective also.

It is best to get into your sensory room a few weeks before students will be arriving.

Preparing your sensory room:

Check electrical cords. Turn on each piece of equipment and leave running for 20 minutes. Test all controls and applications of the equipment. Check furniture covers, zippers, & seams. Check window coverings.

Alternatives to hand sanitizer are:

Gold Bond Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer. Wash hands with soap and water prior & after using any equipment in the room. Use White Gloves in room.

If you find any equipment is not working properly, contact us as soon as possible for repair or replacement. 800-467-6222
