UNC Building Resilience: Organizational Benefits

BUILDING RESILIENCE Organizational Benefits

Are you worried about your overworked teams or key talent? Are you observing troubling behaviors in employees, triggered by added stress? Have you noticed decreased engagement or productivity levels within a particular business unit?

In recent years, organizations have recognized the importance of mental health among their employees, but recent challenges brought upon by the global pandemic have heightened this critical need. As professional and personal stressors continue to build and uncertainty stretches on, organizations are moving toward a “crisis of disillusionment”. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the numbers of people experiencing signs of depression or anxiety have increased three-fold. 1 Without a clear end in sight, organizations must take care of their employees if they are going to be successful through this upheaval. How can you help your people navigate this difficult time, while driving productivity and engagement? You can begin by giving them the tools they need to manage their reality, stay engaged, and perform at their best, even in challenging times. Effectively helping them build their resilience will not only take care of them as employees, but also your organization’s health.

According to the World Health Organization,

DEPRESSION & ANXIETY DISORDERS COST THE GLOBAL ECONOMY EACH YEAR IN LOST PRODUCTIVITY. 2 TRILLION $ 1 USD
