Welcome
The payroll, pension and reward industries are constantly changing, and since beginning my career in payroll, the profession has seen huge innovation through technology and legislation updates. One thing, however, that has always remained constant, is the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) and the support we give the payroll community.
Since March 2020, we have seen a tremendous amount of change, and have had to adapt quickly to ensure we can still deliver an impeccable service to our members,
delegates and students. We moved our entire training and qualifications portfolio online, to ensure students and delegates were able to continue learning with us, and from early 2022, many of these are also offered with face-to-face delivery, providing delegates and students with the study mode to best suit their needs. We are so pleased to return to a mix of virtual and face-to-face events throughout 2022, to ensure we can keep our members connected and compliant. We very much look forward to welcoming you to our events and seeing you all in person! CIPP membership also provides access to our Advisory Service helpline, and never has this been more important, than throughout the last two years, as the industry faced some unprecedented challenges. The team are always on hand to support you with any technical payroll advice, support and guidance. Our policy and research team focus on ensuring we can assist every professional with the constant changes in legislation by producing industry-leading resources such as webinars. We are also extremely proud to represent our members by sitting on more government consultation forums than any other payroll organisation in the UK, ensuring members are always up to date and their views are heard.
We are leading the profession through education, membership and recognition.

Benefits of training with the CIPP
We have been supporting students through their professional learning and qualifications since 1980, and are still committed to student centred learning, driven by your choice of study path. Whether you are new to the industry; an existing professional looking to update or formalise your existing knowledge, or wish to further your career at an operational and strategic level - we have a qualification to help you succeed. CPD certification Our certificates and qualifications * are accredited by the CPD Certification Service, the independent CPD accreditation centre. This service evaluates learning activities to ensure the highest standards, and the kitemark demonstrates our commitment to learning and development excellence. Support Associate student membership is mandatory to study for a Foundation Degree. It is optional for other qualifications but by having access to the Advisory Service helpline, and regular updates on the latest news and legislation affecting the profession, CIPP membership would provide support during your studies. In addition, those studying one of our University approved qualifications will also benefit from the dedicated CIPP student portal resources, including: ● Course materials updated ahead of each intake, and as content evolves ● Online discussion forum ● Resource centre ● Tutor support ● Links to information useful to your studies In-house delivery The CIPP offers in-house delivery ** on many of our qualifications. In-house delivery can be very attractive for organisations as they can train large numbers of employees (minimum of five) at a reduced rate, without the additional associated costs, such as travel and ‘lost time’.
