The war in Eastern Europe...

The Ukraine crisis is not a topic that was around last month, and I can’t imagine a more torrid discussion point for this month. No-one can help but be moved into some sort of action by the atrocities and loss of life we are all seeing on a daily basis. In the longer terms this is something that could well hit manufacturers very hard as supply chains become affected by the conflict. The war in Eastern Europe has caused a massive surge in energy prices and this will naturally also affect restrictions on any metals Russia exports to the UK. The speed of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has affected the whole world and changed it almost beyond recognition in the few short weeks since the invasion began. For the Ukrainian people it seems the harshest of cruelties, with over 2 million people now having fled their homeland, and the civilian casualties continue to rise. Once again however people have pulled together, with droves across the world needing to do something to help, as we witness this new Iron Curtain coming down. Economically too the war is deepening, to the extent that it will have a direct and potentially crippling effect on our cost of living in this country. Not since the two World Wars has anything had the potential to affect our way of living and the costs associated with it, as this conflict. With only a relative, small amount of trade between Russia and the UK there are not many economic links between the two countries. Sanctions, as I understand, are starting to take their toll in Russia, but it is the repercussions we could face as a result of this that could affect construction industries. With energy costs rising already in construction, these are set to rise further in relation to some materials. Additionally, transport costs will rise sharply which will have a definite and sharp impact on those fleets that deliver nationally. All of this could have a highly inflationary trend in construction across the country. Our vulnerability is now exposed, along with the rest of Europe, in respect of dependency on energy suppliers and increasing fuel costs. The Russian Federation supplies around 43% of the EU’s oil and given the fact that military advisors are suggesting this could be a long conflict in Ukraine, it could well be a problem across the construction sector here in the UK for quite a while yet.

FENESTRATION DIGITAL 04

FROM HELEN DUVAL 2022

Equally, for manufacturers the picture looks no less bleak, with energy costs for producing their ranges becoming much more expensive. Rising costs for current projects will leave them seriously financially dented; which could well make many companies quite gladiatorial when it comes to business. Those contractors who are likely to make a loss on a particular project could well be checking out their recoverable costs under the terms of their contracts. The economic repercussions from the conflict should be considered now as the consequence will definitely not be limited to Ukraine, nor indeed to Russia. If the war ended this week, Ukraine’s and Russia’s economies recoveries would run into decades potentially. The longer this goes on then the worse the consequences. Ukraine’s soul has been ruptured both at a human level and a physical one. Undoubtedly, the Ukrainian people will gain a huge amount of support from many countries when looking at rebuilding. Perhaps this will give the country the chance to re-evaluate and look at developing a new economic constitution with new and stronger bonds abroad. Not an easy journey by any stretch of the imagination. Quite how Russia will rebuild financial bridges and economic links with the wider western world is hard to even consider at this point. Establishing complex and expensive new ways to reorganise both political and social capabilities will be essential. The human tragedy of the conflict, as it continues, is exceptionally hard to watch for any of us I am sure, but I genuinely hope that some shafts of light appear. Trying to support the Ukrainian people as they journey on physically difficult and emotional roads leaves feelings of such deep sorrow, but always with thoughts of hope. Personally, I cannot imagine being jolted into such a place of despair, and I just hope that they can imagine the other side of this troubled time, where they can emerge a stronger people. Territorial conflict has been around forever, as has the terror and depression associated with it - whilst it must seem horribly overwhelming for all those affected in the here and now, I truly pray the world will soon be calmer and that the Ukrainian people find some beacons of light soon.

HEGLA OPTI CUSTOM GLA LEADING P

Since the installation of a HEGLA Optimax cutting table and a fully automated Rapidstore system at Custom Glass, the company has gone from strength to strength. Having steered a path through the pandemic and the associated issues that brought, the Custom team has been able to support its customers by providing consistently high quality products for large and small installations. The company handles over 30 different glass types, manufacturing for the glass industry and with demand increasing for the Custom Glass range across both commercial and domestic sectors, production methods were simplified by HEGLA. The initial CAD drawings created by HEGLA UK after site visits to the Liverpool based specialist glass manufacturer, allowed production areas to be adapted to better suit product flow across the factory. For Jeff Hooson the investment in HEGLA has been worth it, with the right modern solutions installed that have helped to increase productivity without the need to move any of the other equipment around. Being familiar with the HEGLA brand, prior to installation, the Custom Glass team had great expectations about their investment, with the company need to produce on average 14,000 IG units per week. Operations Manager, Andy Vint knew that the HEGLA name was considered excellent,

with innovative solutions available that would support the company’s growth and plans. The product portfolio includes various types of coated glasses and senior management knew that investment in proven, advanced equipment would take the company forward. Since installation, the large glass selection now can be fed automatically from the Rapidstore to en- sure that the cutting machine is continuously fed. Faster cutting also means that the toughener can be kept well fed. With 18 shuttle storage positions and 5 bulk storage positions, more racks can be added to this modular installation should customer demand and product diversity need it. The system is also fitted with an “airlock” loading door, this enables the stock inside the Rapidstore to be re-filled whilst the machine is in full automatic operation. Larger batch sizes can now be cut more quickly and a broader product range can be delivered in a considerably shorter timescale. This is helped by the

Optimax table that is fitted with a laser marking system, coupled with the high speed grinding system which is designed to handle all the new coatings. Custom Glass has achieved steady and consistent growth since 1982 when the company first opened. Now, it is firmly established as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of domestic glass and toughened safety glass. With more than 45 years experience in the sector, Managing Director Jeff Hooson bought Custom Glass 16 years ago, after recognising the potential the company had in the marketplace. Today, the new HEGLA system has increased efficiency by providing consistently high quality products. Custom Glass has gone on to develop a range of quality engineered, specialist glazed products that meet and exceed current industry standards. Occupying a 75,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility, Custom remains focused on customer satisfaction and develops products according to market demands and industry regulations. The company’s ability to manufacture the best quality I.G. units with soft coat glasses and warm edge spacer as well as gas filling capabilities ensures that the range is manufactured in the most reliable and effective way. Jeff Hooson comments “With such a diverse product range it is essential we get things right

for customers and we have to achieve this quickly. The Rapidstore allows us to store more specialist glass without downtime. HEGLA’s carefully planned adjustments enabled us to create excellent efficiency across all production departments. The industry has faced some challenging times recently and so we feel obliged than ever to always try to do the decent thing - our suppliers are as much a part of that obligation as our in-house team, and we consider HEGLA a very reliable business partner.” The national delivery run has expanded considerably for Custom Glass over the last few years, so investment in the fleet was essential to meet customers’ demands. Jeff Hooson concludes, “HEGLA’s Optimax and Rapidstore has strengthened the entire production facility for Custom Glass, with the equipment giving us so many technical advantages.” For more information on Custom Glass or the HEGLA brand please visit www.customglass.co.uk or www.hegla.com respectively.

MACHI KEEPING THE INDUSTRY

There are few areas in our every day lives that have not been affected by technology in recent times, which seems to make our world spin at a much faster rate than it ever used to - on the plus side everyone is interconnected and work has been simplified through one type of keyboard or another, depending on what machine it is attached. As consumers we devour the latest technology at lightening speed, yet this has brought about a generation that tends to replace rather than repair - new trends don’t help as frequent upgrades for this phone or that gaming station seem to be a necessity. For this sector, glass machinery manufacturers provide systems that make glass processing easier and so much more efficient, with innovators keen to stay ahead of the competition. Each one looking to create the advantage for companies, as processing is so much more than just the machines today. Software, production flow, storage all must be carefully considered to optimise every sq. inch of factory floor space. Equally, with time being money, machinery manufacturers are keen to ensure that both installation and servicing schedules minimise downtime for their customers. Two of the biggest factors, any reputable machinery manufacturer will always focus on are safety and operator training. Leading brands such as HEGLA, Intermac, Bavelloni or LISEC will always place safety at the top of the check list when it comes to installation and production. Procedures to shut down the equipment are as important as knowing how to programme the machines - downtime becomes utterly irrelevant if any injuries occur. Plus the damage to reputations and lack of care would escalate quickly. Training naturally ties into safety aspects when it comes to glass machinery, as any staff members not familiar with the production processes can obviously ruin some very expensive equipment. With most machinery manufacturers keen to support customers with training and service support, this keeps the installations, fast, efficient and cost-effective. Equally important is regular maintenance programmes in order to avoid downtime and to keep production quality at its highest levels. Looking at most areas of industry bringing about a fast ROI after any expensive installation is critical. As technology continues to evolve there are still areas that need to be considered and there is still a lot to achieve particularly when it comes to green production methods. With

FENESTRATION DIGITAL 10

climate change now a priority for most manufacturers, it is incredible what could be achieved over the next few years. Saving the planet is a very real necessity, however, as a species we adapt quickly when needs must. Smart technology has to be the new way forward as a means to help repair our planet and reduce energy consumption. Hopefully the R&D innovators will be able to develop new technologies that can help to make a real difference. The time is definitely here to change the narrative when it comes to manufacturing processes as the impact that is being made on the planet is moving so much more quickly than the planet can heal itself.

MORLEY GLAS FOR SU

Morley Glass has established a formidable reputation for excellence as the UK’s largest, specialist integral line manufacturer and this success story sets a benchmark for the sector. The 53,000 sq.ft, state-of-the-art production facility is the largest of its kind in the world, housing the latest technology to provide its premium range of integral blinds to the market. Based in the heart of Yorkshire, Ian Short, Managing Director at Morley Glass and his highly professional team, meticulously charted their way through two very tough, or perhaps rather perplexing, years brought about by the pandemic and Brexit. Yet, all of this has led to an exceptional year for the niche company with a 62% increase in the latest turnover figures. Scrupulous attention to detail is at the very heart of the business, with each team member aware of the importance that they bring to the success of the company and customers’ growth. It is reflected in the exceptionally high standards - from u-values, the latest in integral blind colour choice, right down to the smallest details such as the soft touch brochures, …premium quality counts and it shows. Morley Glass and Glazing has been built from the ground up from humble beginnings, to a sophisticated, modern company that has a strong infrastructure, which customers nationally, rely upon. Ian comments, “Our approach in terms of after sales care is focused on personal attention for each and every customer. All departments go above and beyond which is one of the reasons we stand out from competitors. We fully grasp that our customers must have the best support they can in order to keep the end user happy.” A huge part of this is down to the delivery times and the effort put into not letting people down. The team works extremely closely with Italian based Pellini S.p.A which, as with all Morley Glass suppliers, is recognised as a premium brand. Being able to keep turnaround and delivery on-time for UK customers has resulted in despatch and transit becoming a very slick operation, ensuring the service standards can be maintained even through the pandemic. For a luxury product Ian is prepared to pay what is necessary to ensure service standards are maintained, with on average €40k - €50k spent each month on despatch and door to door delivery.

(Insert Pellini delivery video)

Providing exclusive, on-trend products is as important to Ian as the quality that is associated with the brand. As a matter of process over the years, any issues with products have been eliminated with everyone understanding the core product and wanting it to be the best that it can be - through in-house quality control, Morley Glass takes ownership of the premium standards provided. Keeping an eye on market developments and adapting accordingly to offer the best solutions at any time remains a priority, with Ian keen to anticipate what the market trends will be each year. Everyone who works at the company understands all aspects of the product, so anyone can answer customer queries should this be needed.

FENESTRATION DIGITAL 14

SS A FLAGSHIP UCCESS

Moving Forward As a luxury range, the Uni-Blinds® options incorporating Screenline blinds are substantiated by quality guarantees and UK accreditations of excellence including BBSA, CE, T.U.V and CEN Solutions standards. Ian continues, “Customers’ gain confidence and reassurance in the all round superiority of the products available from us. New colour choices are regularly being introduced as the market changes for the integral blind market. We will soon be offering a new variety of blackout colours for windows, doors, bifolds and conservatories. We keep the standards very high in many different ways, which our competitors simply can’t match as they never seem to progress from entry level solutions. These are facts which are substantiated by numerous industry awards gained over the years including several National Fenestration Awards and numerous other business accolades. Relying upon rigorous, in-house, quality control procedures, the Morley Glass promise of superior standards is just that. “Our guarantees are exactly that - guaranteed. As a company, our customers and the end user know that we can be trusted, relied upon and even called upon when we are needed,” Ian continued. Potential problems are eliminated as the supply chain works and at no extra cost. Dedicated engineers are part of the Morley Glass quality standards in practice. Although Uni-Blinds® are simple to fit by any window or door installer with a level of competency, there can sometimes be queries. Hence, customers are trained on the installation process, tackling any technical issues together as a team. The costs are all up front and because of the way the delivery runs are strategised, the company meets customer schedules every time. Staying Smart With digitalisation and smart technology becoming almost a necessity in and around the home these days, the Morley Glass team has once again stepped up with some innovative solutions to inspire the homeowner. At The FIT Show this year, there will be a new range of pleated blackout fabrics, in colours that are exclusive to Morley Glass. In addition, a new Smart home automation system will be launched, which will allow end users to programme the blinds and check them from anywhere in the world. The tech innovation does not stop there, with a new sensor shading system being introduced for consumers in the summer. Exclusivity and premium design are at the forefront of Morley Glass’ focus with ScreenHub SmartAutomation now a key aspect for the next generation of the luxury brand. The entire business has been built around quality, accountability, reliability and after sales care, with everyone focussed on getting the job done well. Weekly evaluation and training sessions for all employees still take place, with voices heard at every level of the business. Each person in the team understands they are valued and knows their role is vital to the continued success of the business. In terms of production, with systems such as a fully managed bar coding system, it provides traceability. The in-house quality control is tried and tested to the point where only 0.2% external rejects occur - a true testament to the pedigree of the Morley brand. Keeping Things Cleaner Morley Glass as a company that exudes confidence and professionalism when manufacturing a top of the range product for the UK market, but Ian Short also keeps a close eye on what can be done in production and beyond to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

MARCH EDITION 15

Leading from the front once again, the company is committed to sustainability and launched a number of recycling initiatives over the last few years, which have made a definite impact. To date over 737 tonnes of glass has been re-purposed. One tonne of cullet saves enough energy to heat an average home for 6 months or put another way it has prevented 300kg of CO2 from going into the atmosphere, - the Morley Glass sustainability figures are quite staggering. Since starting the initiative the company has recycled 776 tonnes of cullet which has saved “690132” kg of virgin sand from being used in glass manufacturing, and has also reduced enough CO2 emissions for UK households for “405” years. Having teamed up with Saint-Gobain Glass, a glass crushing machine was installed at Morley Glass to enable the company and its customers to recycle post consumer glass. MORLEY GLASS - A FLAGSHIP FOR SUCCESS CONT..

(Insert Crush Video)

The glass is crushed into cullet and returned to Saint-Gobain Glass, where it is then re-purposed at a lower temperature into new glass. Whilst Saint-Gobain pays for the cullet, customers and local trades-people are able to use the recycling service for free and every single penny gained from the incentive is put back into the local community. From the funds received to date from recycled cullet, local schools and charities across Yorkshire, that run initiatives to improve the environment, can apply for a donation which could be up to as much as £50,000 per year. Consideration for donations could be anything from butterfly gardens, creating nature reserves, sensory gardens or even school allotments. As Ian states, “The glass is always greener with Morley - in an ideal world there would be flat glass bottle banks in every town and city; just imagine how much we could save if everyone had the same attitude and it does such a great green turn for the whole community.” When asked about his commitment to dancing, Ian still gets his dancing shoes and glitter shirts on twice a week, but yet again, this has led to his continuing support for dance programmes across the area for disadvantaged children. One 13 year old male dancer gained a scholarship from one of Ian’s schemes, which resulted in the young protégée winning his first ever Junior National ballroom competition in Blackpool - quite an achievement, although Ian is humble about his part in it, believing encouragement is so much of the battle. With new initiatives due to be launched this year, it is obvious that Morley Glass and Glazing is continuing on an upward trajectory. The dedication to provide only the best has been acknowledged by this sector which recognises excellence, as demonstrated by the number of NFA and business accolades won to date. It is very exciting times for such a progressive company, that will continue to be of great benefit to the fenestration market.

KOLORSEAL INCREASES COLOUROPTIONS FOR CUSTOMERS

Specialist colour coating experts, Kolorseal Ltd, are helping customers to gain more business opportunities, with roofline and rainwater colouring options. With virtually unlimited choice on colour spraying options for upvc and aluminium products, there has been a recent increase in interest for gutters and fascias that match window frames and doors, for the company. Installers are grasping that this adds to the options they can offer homeowners to ensure a look that will complement the property as a whole.

Deborah Hendry, Managing Director at Kolorseal comments, “We are seeing increasing enquiries on rainwater and roofing products that can be colour sprayed to match the door and window frames on renovation or new build projects. Traditionally, gutters have been somewhat limited with colour but it is becoming increasingly common for homeowners to take bolder steps when it comes to colour matching their properties.” Gutters that match the color of the frames, for example, show a modern approach to property maintenance that will add value to the home by keeping all products in same colour theme. Gutters should complement the existing house colours rather than standing out in their own right. Ideally, consumers should be taught to focus on the other aspects of their home, such as the entrance door and also any shutters that may be on the property. Also, if upgrading then blend with the new colours.

Deborah continues, “It is always best to choose which features to match in the first instance, window frames, door or even the colour of the bricks, if a homeowner wants their front door or window colour scheme to really stand out from the rest of the house. Likewise with fascias and soffit boards, this can all be colour matched perfectly to the window frames and doors.” For more information on the colour charts, and colour coating options available from Kolorseal Ltd, please visit the website or call the team on 01924 454 856.

ULTION SECURITY HANDLE TESTS EIGHT TIMESMORE THAN MINIMUMREQUIREMENT

Brisant’s Ultion 2 Star handle has been tested to 800,000 cycles in the EN 1906 test rig where its mechanical strength is tested, the door handle being opened and closed repeatedly. Whilst many handles aren’t even tested, the standard requirement is 100,000 cycles. The 2 star handle smashed this target and lasted eight times longer than the minimum standard. Brisant’s design ethos is to develop products that do as much as possible, not as little as possible.

As well as looking great the curved form on the Ultion 2 Star handle also helps to repel the elements and burglars. It has six coatings of armour plating and lasted a year in the weather test chamber, when the test standard needs only 10 days. But what is the point in still looking great and stopping burglars if the mechanism isn’t that strong? Steve Stewart, Founder and Ultion designer said, “Brisant creates product for customers who want better. We are delighted that it lasted eight times longer than industry requirement. This test isn’t just about how many times or how many years a door handle can be operate, it’s a demonstration of the overall build quality. These handles will now look great for good and work for good!”

GQA centre Absolute Training Solutions Ltd has contributed to the successful restoration of historic stained glass panels at Grade I listed Manchester Town Hall by supporting employees of Recclesia Stained Glass through NVQ attainment. Grade 1 listed buildings, which are incredibly rare in the UK are those deemed to be of exceptional national, architectural or historical significance. The achievement of the NVQs was funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, working in partnership with the European Social Fund. Background Information Recclesia Stained Glass specialises in the conservation and repair of historic and listed buildings, churches, ancient sites and ruins. They offer expertise in the conservation and repair of historic stained and leaded glass, alongside the design and creation of new stained glass and leaded lights, and the conservation and creation of associated metalwork, protection and environmentally sympathetic glazing. The company works on projects ranging from parish churches to cathedrals, castles to stately homes, and village halls to city halls. They work with organisations

including English Heritage, the National Trust and a whole host of heritage guardians. The team consists of conservators, artists, glass designers, glaziers, site managers and joiners. All employees at Recclesia have long-standing experience of glass conservation and creation and hold traditional skills and academic qualifications, which underpins their approach and philosophy to glass design and installation. Manchester Town Hall This project involved the removal, restoration and installation of the glass in the Great Hall at the Town Hall building, which is undergoing a major four-year refurbishment programme. The employees of Recclesia required a recognised NVQ qualification to fulfil the contractual obligations of the contract, and approached Absolute Training Solutions Ltd to deliver the ESF funded level 2 qualification for five members of staff. Qualifications were undertaken by members of staff from the glass processing side of the business who were involved on the restoration element of the contract, and one member of staff who was responsible for the removal and installation of the specialist glass and its transportation to their studio in Swinton. Innovating assessment methods through the pandemic Due to the ongoing pandemic and the third national lockdown in January 2021, an alternative assessment model was agreed with Recclesia by Absolute Training Solutions to ensure that their staff development and training needs were not affected by the restrictions. Constant changes in the national Covid-19 response guidance meant virtual communications played a huge role in the learners’ development including progression reviews and teaching and learning activities. Outcome And Impact Katherine Walton, Senior Stained Glass Conservator for Recclesia said: “We are one of the few conservation companies in the UK that continues to maintain a full in-house staff of conservators and traditionally skilled craftsmen and women. This is one of the main reasons we are chosen to work on some of the UK’s most iconic buildings. The service provided by Absolute Training Solutions Ltd and the European Social Fund enabled us to deliver the highest standards and ensured that all staff were fully qualified to meet the needs of the project.

“The tutor from Absolute Training Solutions Ltd provided underpinning knowledge in a professional manner while providing essential advice and guidance on key areas such as CSCS and health and safety. Previous work including photo evidence was taken into account during the assessment and the tutor made staff feel at ease during the whole assessment and training process. “Our staff have benefited immensely from using resources both online and in hard copy form when needed, including our glazier who took great confidence from the onsite assessments, developing his skills and knowledge. These qualifications will give the company the opportunity to access more projects in the future as more of our staff are now multi skilled with a recognised qualification. The company has benefited greatly from our staff gaining new skill levels.” What The Learners Said Katherine Ladyman, Glass Processing Level 2 achiever continued: “I was motivated to apply for the course because I really enjoy learning new things and being creative. The NVQ in Glass Processing has helped me expand my knowledge and gain new skills. It was really great to meet Roy from Absolute and talk him through the stained-glass procedure. Roy was very interested in the subject and was so supportive during the whole process. I am happy that I have now progressed to a higher level which will further enhance my knowledge and understanding of the glass processing sector.” Tomos Ball, Glazing Level 2 achiever said: “My motivation to apply for this course was to gain more knowledge of my job and the industry. I enjoyed the observations and the support provided by my tutor Roy. I was able to perform my usual installation duties while learning new topics on health and safety and building regulations. I was very happy with the outcome and the achievement of the glazing qualification. The experience will be valuable and will benefit me in the future.” What Absolute Training Solutions Said Speaking for Absolute Training Solutions, Roy Pusey the scheme tutor commented: “I was very impressed with the quality of the work produced by all the employees at Recclesia. The work currently being carried out on the Manchester Town Hall contract is of an extremely high standard and all staff have shown that they have the skills and the knowledge to meet their contractual obligations. “I want to give a special mention to Katherine as she was an exceptional candidate and always provided quality evidence during her assessment and training activities. I am happy all five members of staff were able to progress to a higher level following their achievement. I am also delighted to say that Recclesia have now employed two new female members of staff who are now working to the same ESF SSW qualification in Glass Processing.” What GQA Qualifications Said Speaking for GQA the awarding body who write the qualifications taken by the team at Recclesia, CEO Mick Clayton said:“It is great to hear that what you might call traditional skills are still alive and well and that there are people who want to learn them and carry on the traditions. It is always great news when those people understand the value of qualifications as a way of further developing their knowledge, their skills and their careers, and I am delighted for all the team at Recclesia. The project they are currently working on is a real landmark and something they will always be able to look back on with pride. Congratulations to them all.” More information on GQA is available at www.gqaqualifications.com.

SHEERLINE PRESTIGE SECURES PAS24 AND SBD APPROVAL

As part of its commitment to offer customers the best products possible, Sheerline Aluminium Systems has achieved PAS24: 2016 on its Prestige window system. Prestige is the second Sheerline product to gain Secured by Design accreditation, the UK’s official police initiative that works with companies to improve security on buildings. Prestige builds on the success of Sheerline’s Classic range, a slim, beadless system that also passed the BSi BS 4873:2016 / PAS24:2016 security performance test in 2021. The test evaluates the strength of a window at each locking point, as well as its overall performance when under attack. Product Design Director, Adrian Redshaw stated, “PAS24: 2016 for window units is set at a specific standard to ensure the complete product resists

attack. It focuses on withstanding manipulation of the window hardware and combines mechanical loading, leverage and pressure, and impact testing. The Prestige window came through the tests without a hitch, exceeding many of the required classifications needed to gain a pass certificate and allowing us to attain endorsement by the Secured by Design initiative.” The Prestige window evaluated, used Sheerline’s unique corner cleat a precision and incredibly easy to fit, standardised component from the Sheerline range of products. Designed to eliminate misalignment, the corner cleat adds strength to the overall frame and sash. To bolster the windows security further, Yale’s high- security twin cam locking mechanism and 17mm stack height friction hinges were also fitted. “We expected remarkable results from the Prestige window system, and we weren’t disappointed. We

built the system to the same set of principles as our Classic window range; to be innovative, easy to manufacture, simple to install using standard components, while delivering sleek and uninterrupted sight-lines that perform to the highest- levels of security.” Adrian commented, “Adding, Prestige to our Secured by Design product listing is a massive accomplishment for us, one which should also gain competitive benefits for our customers.” To learn more about Sheerline, visit www.sheerline.com or www.sheerlinevideo.com. Leigh Barnes Director | JLS Electrical Services The beauty of using Onsite 7 is that any person with the admin console access can find information, or photo/video evidence to relay to the customer.

Luke Smith Director | The Green RoomBuilding Co In all honesty it was di cult to find a fault with the software and understood the reasoning as to why it was developed. It simply helps a trade business perform to its best and has certainly helped us provide evidence of the quality of our work, keep track of jobs and have comfort in being able to see footage/notes and photos being taken from site installations if we as company owners are not physically there ourselves.

Having the ability, by customer, and on a job by job basis to allocate and review every step of the customer journey was incredible. It is as if the

software was designed specifically for my business. Using Onsite 7 I can see the ‘sales stage’, ‘survey stage’ ‘install stage’ and ‘any service calls attended against the jobs. This allows me to review previous visits and action visits either assigned to myself or my team members.
