Badger Tag & Label Reduces Footprint

C-P Flexible Acquires Genpak

C-P Flexible Packaging, a manufac- turer of flexible packaging including rollstock, premade pouches, reseal- able packaging and shrink sleeves, has acquired Genpak Flexible from The Jim Pattison Group.Genpak Flex- ible is a North American supplier of compostable packaging and offers a wide range of unique, patented flexi- ble packaging solutions. C-P Flexible Packaging is a longstanding portfolio company of First Atlantic Capital, a NewYork based private equity firm. With facilities in Aurora, Ontario, and Lakeville, Minnesota, Genpak Flexible provides customized die-cut rollstock and pouches, as well as paper-based laminations. C-P Flexible Packaging’s North American footprint now consists of six locations with more than 750 employees. Founded in 1959 and head- quartered in York, Pennsylvania, C-P Flexible Packaging offers a full portfolio of flexible packaging formats spanning HD printed rollstock,premade pouches, shrink sleeves,stretch sleeves,poly bags, roll-fed labels,reclose,cold-seal and recy- clable flexible packaging.

I n a continuing effort to reduce its carbon footprint and meet its sustainability goals, Badger Tag & Label, Random Lake,Wis- consin, has launched ongoing eco-friendly initiatives. Badger has adopted measures to decrease energy consumption

and waste recycling and/or reduction. The measures, while ad- dressing the need for management of its impact on the envi- ronment, have also resulted in cost savings for the converter. Launched in 1935 by Emil Thiel with the slogan,“we fit the tag to its purpose,” Badger now occupies 52,000 total square feet of space in two locations.The company operates 16 press- es, five of which are flexographic. Opened in 2018, Badger’s newest facility serves as the company’s main office, as well as the production areas for flexographic and digital printing and the rewind operations.
