FLEET & FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM (FFSP) Fleet & Family Support provides unique programs and various services to active duty, activated Reservists, retirees, and family members that promote self-re- liance and family resilience.

MID ATLANTIC SUPPORT CENTERS FAMILY FLEET

AUTO SKILLS CENTERS Everything amateur mechanics need to keep their automobiles running smoothly at Auto Skills Centers. BOWLING CENTERS Recreational bowling, leagues, professional and fun tournaments, birthday parties and command parties! CABINS, COTTAGES & RV PARKS Recreational Lodging: RV sites, tent sites, cot- tages, cabins, townhomes and resort-style vacation rentals. CHILD & YOUTH PROGRAMS (CYP) Planned programs of activities for each age group to promote the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of your child. COMMUNITY RECREATION Outdoor recreation, community events, dis- count tickets to attractions and vacation book- ings, leisure skills development, recreation equipment rentals and more. FITNESS, SPORTS & AQUATICS Mission essential programs optimize phys- ical, mental, social and emotional personal health. MWR hosts more than 20 virtual and in-person 5K races and challenges a year.

LIBERTY & SINGLE SAILOR Special events, classes, trips and outdoor ac- tivities designed to bridge the gap between MWR and the barracks or ship and meet Sail- ors’ needs in a free, fun and responsible way. LIBRARIES Books, periodicals, computer resources, latest bestsellers, newspaper and magazine sub- scriptions, computers with internet access, Wi-Fi, children and teen activities, study areas, story time, family programs and more. MARINAS & SAILING CENTERS Affordable watercraft rentals, dock rentals and sailing lessons for adults and children. TICKETS & TRAVEL OFFICES Discount tickets for tours, shows, concerts and sporting events, sightseeing trips, va- cation planning and cruise bookings. WATER PARKS, BEACHES & POOLS Cabana and covered pavilion rentals ideal for summertime parties and casual command events. Lap swimming, lessons and specialty programs such as water aerobics.

NAVY GOLD STAR PROGRAM Navy Gold Star liaisons coordinate ser- vices with other agencies to address comprehensive needs and resolve complex individual issues for surviving family members of deceased active duty Sailors.

EXCEPTIONAL FAMILY MEMBER PROGRAM (EFMP) The Navy’s Exceptional FamilyMember Program (EFMP) is a quality of life pro- gram that supports Sailors who have family members with chronic medical, dental, mental health, developmental or educational conditions and require special care and services.

Who We Serve

NAVY REGION MID-ATLANTIC The Navy is organized into 10 regions worldwide and a headquarters element that we call Commander, Naval Installations Command (CNIC). Navy Region Mid-Atlantic encompasses 14 installations across 20 states and serves over 127,000 active duty and Reserve military personnel and 293,000 retirees and family members. Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story JEB Little Creek-Fort Story is the major East Coast operating base supporting Overseas Contingen- cy Operations, providing support and services to 144 shore-based resident commands and 18 homeported ships. Naval Air Station Oceana / Dam Neck Annex The Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base, Naval Air Station Oceana is home to F/A-18 Super Hornets. The base provides the facilities, equipment and personnel to support shored-based and total force readiness and maintain operational access of Oceana-based forces. Naval Station Great Lakes Providing base operating support for the Navy’s largest training facility, every young man or wom- an who enlists in the Navy today arrives at NAVSTA Great Lakes for initial training. More than 21,000 military and civilian personnel work, train and live onboard at any given time. The installation is home to 60 military and civilian tenant commands. Naval Station Newport Home to the Naval War College, the Surface War- fare Officers School and the Naval Justice School, Naval Station Newport is located on 1,399 acres along the western shore of Rhode Island’s Aquid- neck Island. Approximately 10,000 employees work at the 50 Navy, Marine Corps, Army Reserve and Coast Guard commands onboard. Naval Station Norfolk Naval Station Norfolk is the largest naval complex in the world, supporting the operational readiness of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet, providing facilities and services to enable mission accomplishment. The installation supports 59 ships and 184 aircraft, alongside 13 piers and 11 aircraft hangars. Naval Support Activity Crane NSA Crane is the third largest naval installation in the world, situated on 64,000 acres with more than 3,000 buildings and over 5,000 DoD civilian and contract personnel.

Naval Submarine Base New London Naval Submarine Base New London is the Navy’s first submarine base and the “Home of the Subma - rine Force.” It is also home to more than 70 tenant commands and employs more than 9,500 active duty, reserve and civilian personnel. As home to the Submarine Learning Center and Naval Submarine School, every Submariner in today’s Navy will be stationed at SUBASE New London in their career. Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads - Headquarters NSA Hampton Roads - Headquarters has the largest concentration of fleet headquarters and administra - tive and communication facilities outside of Wash- ington, D.C. The installation is home to more than 6,000 personnel and major tenant commands such as U.S. Fleet Forces Command. Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads - Northwest Annex NSA Hampton Roads - Northwest Annex provides a wide array of support services for 11 tenant com- mands, comprised of U.S. Coast Guard and Depart- ment of Homeland Security operational units, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection training commands, and Navy, Coast Guard andNATO strategic communication activities. Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads - Portsmouth Formerly known as Naval Medical Center Ports- mouth (NMCP), NSA Hampton Roads - Portsmouth has proudly served the military and their families since 1830, making it the Navy’s oldest continuous- ly operating hospital. This is a nationally-acclaimed state-of-the-art medical center. Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg Located in central Pennsylvania, NSA Mechanicsburg has more than 150 buildings with 8.8 million square feet of space that fall into four functional areas: ad- ministrative, housing and community facilities, ware- housing, and open storage. Some 40 tenant com- mands are located on the 806-acre complex.

Naval Support Activity Philadelphia NSA Philadelphia and Philadelphia Navy Yard Annex are home to multiple tenant commands in support of the Fleet, Fighter and Family. The installation is located on a streamlined shore and provides an op- eration-ready, secure shore infrastructure. Naval Support Activity Saratoga Springs NSA Saratoga Springs is a shore activity in an ac- tive, fully operational status. Services provided in- clude personal property, housing, administrative, Fleet & Family Support, and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation for all DoD personnel in New York, Massachusetts and Vermont. Naval Weapons Station Earle Naval Weapons Station Earle provides all ordnance for all Atlantic Fleet Carrier and Expeditionary Strike Groups, and supports strategic DoD ordnance re- quirements. The installation’s mainside is located in Colts Neck, N.J., and the waterfront is in the Leonar- do section of Middletown, N.J. Naval Weapons Station Yorktown is the Navy’s pre- mier weapons facility. It hosts 33 tenant commands, includingNavalMunitionsCommand,NavalOphthal- mic Support and Training Activity, U.S. Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, and Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group, as well as 19 departments. Norfolk Naval Shipyard Specializing in repairing, overhauling and mod- ernizing ships and submarines, Norfolk Naval Shipyard is the oldest and largest industrial facil- ity that belongs to the U.S. Navy, and is the most multifaceted. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Specializing in the overhaul, repair andmoderniza- tion of Los Angeles-class submarines, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard provides the U.S. Navy’s nuclear powered submarine fleet with quality overhaul work in a safe, timely and affordable manner.
