ANCC FOUNDATION

Welcome NewMembers 22 September to 25 October 2019 Resident Mr. Sammy J. Gerdano III Ms. Janet Hale

ANCC'S WATER TOWER When Army Navy bought the land that encompassed the old Arlington clubhouse, water was “obtained from the driven wells which supplied the Knights of Columbus Club home (the core of the old clubhouse) on the grounds, while increased need could be met from the mains which are under construction in the vicinity.” At some point ANCC made the connection to the local (low pressure) mains and erected a water tower to provide adequate water pressure. In 1964, following Arlington County’s activation of a high-pressure water main through ANCC’s property, the water tower was removed. To learn more about the water tower, click here.
