Protection Team News CHECKING IN AT THE END OF Q1

VOL 13, ISSUE 4

Holy cow! The first quarter of 2021 is now gone, we have a 21-year-old in the house — I can hear you now, “He doesn’t look that old,” but I am! — I am fully vaccinated, and our beautiful beaches are full with spring breakers! What a crazy 30 days since my last article. I could add more, but I would just put you to sleep. I don’t want to be accused of being boring. With the large number

a big insurance year, in terms of bills that will be trying to “solve” the homeowners insurance crisis that we all find ourselves in at this moment. I have been warning for a while that the path we were on was not sustainable and that we could be seeing large rate increases and insurance companies leaving the state or going out of business.

Hopefully, next month I can report that they listened and did something material and not just window dressing. Let me shout out Buc’s general manager, Jason Licht,

of people getting in line to get vaccinated, I certainly hope that this virus soon burns itself out and the number of infections will quickly go down so we can stop living in fear and get back to the good ol’ days. Last month, I told you about some possible changes to the hurricane season. Well, they did make a few changes but not to the length of the season for this year. They changed how they will go about naming storms after they run out of names. No more Greek letters! They will create a backup list of names and use them instead. They

for doing an amazing job re-signing as many of the players as he has. Things are shaping up for another great run this upcoming football season. I would like to be one of the many fans in the stadium to cheer them on. Please stay safe and get your shots! Until next month, –Darren
