Dear Wilmington Country Club Board Members, Members and Staff:
I am overwhelmed with gratitude and honored to inform you that I have been awarded a Platt Evan's Scholarship to Pennsylvania State University beginning in the Fall of 2021. Yesterday, my family and a few close friends gathered to watch me open the letter not knowing what the verdict would be.A feeling of nervous anticipation came over me as I fumbled to open the letter.When I read the first line, "We are pleased to advise you that the WGA Scholarship Committee has awarded you a Platt Evans Caddie scholarship ...," everyone began to cheer and clap.I have never in my life felt so proud and humbled and I have The Wilmington Country Club to thank.This scholarship would not have been possible if I were not a caddie at Wilmington.I want to personally thank you for allowing me to caddie at Wilmington and for all your support. My entire family is so grateful.I do not know if you are aware, but I am a quadruplet and have three same age siblings attending college in the Fall of2021.The burden of putting one less child through college benefits my entire family and we all feel blessed.It is difficult to put into words just how thankful I am, and I hope this letter conveys the joy and appreciation I am feeling at this moment.My deepest thanks to every member ofThe Wilmington Country Club.Iwould especially like to thankMr.Peter Thomson who has given me unlimited opportunities and has been a role model and mentor to me.A handwritten letter of thanks is forthcoming, but I did want to get this email out as soon as possible to thankall of you.
