Mark Beffort CEO, Newmark Robinson Park

Mark Beffort serves as chief executive officer of Robinson Park, Newmark Robinson Park and chief operating officer and portfolio manager of Square Deal Investments. His commercial real estate career began in Oklahoma City in 1985, after graduating from Washburn University. For nearly 40 years, Mark has built a solid reputation as a trusted partner and leader in the community. Mark’s robust portfolio is valued at over $2 billion and spans 15 million square feet across nine markets. Mark’s professional and community involvement includes trustee for Washburn University Foundation and Casady School, chair of the Council of Bond Oversight for the State of Oklahoma, and board member of the Myriad Gardens Foundation and Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. Katy Boren President & CEO, Oklahoma City Innovation District As president and CEO of Oklahoma City’s Innovation District, Katy Boren spearheads the creation and development of the emerging district and is focused on creating a vibrant, fully integrated community where people can live, work and play. Her goal is to develop collaboration between Oklahoma’s diverse sectors – bio science, aerospace, tech, energy, manufacturing and more – to foster new opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation. After earning her bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Denver, Boren pursued a law degree at the University of Oklahoma. Boren currently serves on the Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership Board of Directors, NEOKC Renaissance Board of Directors, Oklahoma Contemporary Board of Trustees, Harold Hamm Diabetes Center Advisory Board, the State of Oklahoma Broadband Governing Board, and is a member of Oklahoma Women in Tech and Downtown Rotary.

Sandino Thompson Partner, EightTwenty

Sandino L. Thompson is a community developer and thought leader with a passion for social innovation and inclusive development. He has more than 20 years of experience managing multimillion-dollar commercial and residential construction projects encompassing design/build, new construction, complete renovation and historic preservation. He is involved in the redevelopment efforts of Northeast Oklahoma City, with commercial developments along NE 23rd Street that have won local, state, national, and global acclaim for innovation placemaking and community impact. He has led public/private partnerships to positively impact human self- sufficiency through affordable housing, technical and vocational skills training, primary secondary and higher education reform, adolescent health and youth development, and adult education employment and workforce development through his roles at Public Strategies and It’s My Community Initiative. Thompson has been involved with the next pivot in the energy economy of Oklahoma towards sustainable energy production and storage as a partner in EightTwenty. He holds a Bachelor of Science in construction management engineering from Oklahoma State University.
