Rachel Cannon Co-CEO, Prairie Surf Media
Rachel Cannon is an entertainment executive, entrepreneur, mentor, accomplished television actress, writer and producer. With an acting career in Los Angeles that spans 20 years with over 80 network television credits, Cannon has been featured on iconic television series like “Big Bang Theory”, “Two and a Half Men”, “Mad Men” and for the last six years she played Deidre on ABC’s hit comedy, “Fresh Off The Boat.” Combining her on-set experience with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Cannon is determined to bring more creative opportunities for film and television to her home state. She believes this industry will create sustainable jobs, economic diversity and a creative path for the next generation. Tanya Ruby EVP Head of Finance, Prairie Surf Media Tanya started her career working as a production coordinator at Walden Media. She then shifted over to the finance department and moved to London where she was a freelance accountant for 10 years working on films like “Captain Phillips”, “Avengers”, “Guardians of The Galaxy”, “Prometheus” and “Wonder Woman.” She moved back to Los Angeles in 2017 where she worked in finance for Amazon, Netflix and Big Beach. In 2021, she moved to Oklahoma and is now the EVP Head of Finance at Prairie Surf Media. Mark Snead, Ph.D. President & Economist, RegionTrack, Inc. Mark C. Snead is an economist and president of RegionTrack, Inc., an Oklahoma City-based economic research firm specializing in regional economic forecasting and analysis. Mark’s research interests focus primarily on regional economic modeling and forecasting, local area economic development, and the economic role of the nation’s energy-producing regions. Mark presents frequently to a range of business, financial and policy audiences and has published numerous research articles and reports on regional economic issues. His research has been widely cited by policy officials, other researchers and leading media outlets. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in economics and finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in economics from Oklahoma State University.
