OUR MISSION:

Our goal is to serve you with such a great experience that you: 1. Thank the person who sent you here 2. Refer people you care about to us

Enjoy the freedom of the warm summer air!

The Fourth of July brings with it feelings of home, family, and freedom. For me, it is a reminder of my freedom to do business on my own. In April 2002 I decided I wanted to start my own private practice. While I was searching for a part time position before I opened my clinic, I walked into a building for an interview and noticed a “For Lease” sign on the office next door. I went inside for the interview, was hired for the part time job, and called the number for the available space. Within a couple of days, I signed the lease and began the process of opening my clinic. I saw my first patient on July 4, 2002, and I haven’t looked back since. Over all these years, we’ve stayed in the same location serving the Hot Springs community. On that Independence Day in 2002, I was

celebrating not just the freedom of my country, but also of starting my own business; being my own boss; following my dream instead of someone else’s. You have that same freedom of choice when you decide where you want to go for physical therapy, despite pressure from hospital systems or physician-owned clinics. We want you to feel like family from the minute you step through our doors. An annual tradition in our house is buying a truckload of fireworks and catching only a few things on fire. This Independence Day, relax with family and friends, reminisce over a plate of barbecue, and enjoy the freedom of the warm summer air.

Lamb Meatball Sliders

Clean Your Patio or Deck, 5 Simple Steps

1. Sweep Up: Once the surface is wet, ev- erything sticks. Anything you can catch with a broom while it’s dry is something that you won’t have to peel up later. 2. Protect Greenery: Hose down plants around your patio or deck, especially if you’re growing vegetables. Coating the garden with water helps soap to slide off. If you want to be extra careful, you can drape some light plastic drop cloths over sensitive zones.

Directions: Preheat the broiler. For the lamb meatballs: Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the lamb, coriander, cumin, garlic, oregano, mint, some salt and pepper, and the soaked breadcrumbs. Mix well, but do not overwork. Fold in the feta, then form the mixture into 8 two inch meatballs. Place the meatballs in a large, greased cast-iron pan. Place the pan 7 to 8 inches from the heating element; broil for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cooked through, turning once halfway through. To assemble the sliders: Load a meatball onto each bun. Top with tomato slices and mayonnaise and garnish.

3. Deal with Stains : Tackling stains can be challenging because not all decks are made from the same material. From concrete to wood, find out how to treat stains properly. 4. Wet-Mop : For wood, use a cleaner like Deck Wash. On concrete, you can use a multipurpose solution. Dilute according to the directions, then use a stiff push broom that’s small enough to dip into a bucket. Get your surface wet and sudsy and put some muscle into it. Then hose down. For stone, fill a large bucket with warm water and add two or three squirts of dish soap. Apply with a nylon push broom. (Don’t use wire bristles on stone—they can scratch.) Scrub until sudsy, then rinse well. When you’re all done, a generous spritz of white vinegar in the spaces between the stones (or in cracks in the concrete) will temporar- ily discourage the growth of weeds. 5. Resist the Pressure : If you’ve rented a pressure washer to clean your house, you may be tempted to use it on the deck or fence. While it can be OK for some surfaces, it can also hurt grout between stones and turn softer wood to pulp. So chek with your rental place before you spray.

Ingrediaents: 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs 1/4 cup milk 1 pound ground lamb 1 teaspoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese Canola oil, for greasing pan Tomato sliced Mayonnaise 8 Buns

Patient Testimonial

I probably broke it.” he says. Through these experiences, Wesley decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. He says he loves helping people that are hurting get back to their normal lives; back to the things they love to do. Wesley went to high school in Conway and was on the baseball team. One of his favorite memories was from his senior year when he graduated high school. The day after graduation was the baseball state championship. Wesley and his team won the championship game, then left that night at 4:00 AM to drive to Panama City Beach for a week. “That was one of the most exciting times with friends and family,” Wesley remembers. Outside of work, Wesley loves to fish and hunt. He also enjoys working out, and is looking into running a spartan race in the future.

Wesley Hoover joined the Spa City Therapy team as a physical therapist assistant in May of 2017. Wesley knew by the end of high school that

he loved science and was skilled in this area. He decided he wanted to pursue a career that included his passion for science. Wesley played collegiate baseball at UCA and graduated with a bachelor’s in Health Education, then went on to Arkansas Tech University and a year later graduated from their physical therapist assistant program. Wesley had plenty of experience with rehab throughout his athletic career. “You name it,

“Thank you everyone so very much!” “When I first started I could not stand up straight. Now I can stand straight and walk without any pain. This has been so good for me and everyone has been just great!! Thank you everyone so very much!” - Betty F.

Looking For A Fitness Vacation? 6 Benefits Of White Water Rafting

1. Provides an adrenaline rush White water rafting guarantees a release of adrenaline. Adrenaline rushes allow rafters to focus only on the excitement they feel rather than the physical exercise of rafting. 2. Reduces stress Rafting provides you an escape from reality. The quietness of nature lets you relax and leave all your worries behind you, especially when the river is slow-moving. In this moment, you can bask in this moment of peace. And yet, when the river gets going again, you can be sure to exude your stress through the exercise required in heavy paddling! 3. Strengthens muscles White water rafting is a fun, challenging physical activity. Using your upper body, you paddle quickly and vigorously through the river. The movement of paddling tones your arms, back, and shoulders, and as the current of the river grows more swift and water resistance increases, so too does your muscle strength improve as you continue to fight the challenge of the river.

4. Builds teamwork Being in the wilderness with a group of people gives you the opportunity to bond with your teammates. You learn about their strengths and weaknesses, and since white water rafting takes discipline, teamwork and leadership skills, knowing your team is crucial to success. The communication between teammates will ensure the whole team is on the same page. 5. Opportunity for family bonding White water rafting is one adventure you can take part in with your family, enabling all members of the family unit to bond. Without

modern distractions such as work or technology, families can finally have the time to engage in conversation while overcoming a challenge. 6. Boosts self-esteem White water rafting leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment and an increased sense of confidence. Depending on the difficulty of the river, the task may seem intimidating at first, but once you complete it, the feeling of achievement runs rapid in your veins, giving you the confidence to overcome many other challenges. http://www.healthfitnessrevolution.com/top-10-health- benefits-white-water-rafting/

4 reasons why Moab, Utah should be the next place you visit

Picture the summer sun glistening over red rock arches along miles of hiking and mountain bike trails — the most spectacular geography you’ve ever seen. Now imagine you’re in Utah. Moab, Utah might just be America’s hidden gem of outdoor activity — and it’s swiftly gaining popularity. Here are four reasons Moab, Utah should be your next place to visit. 1. It’s not just about extreme sports While hiking, mountain biking, rafting, climbing and canyoneering are certainly big draws for visitors, Moab also attracts visitors just looking for a leisurely outdoor vacation. With the region’s diverse landscape and abundant wildlife, bird watchers and photographers love Moab. Fishing, golfing, ballooning and site- seeing tours are also popular. 2. It’s easy to get there When you’re building a campfire in the silence of Canyonlands National Park, you may feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. But getting there won’t take a Sherpa — or any special arrangements. In fact, Moab is

just a few hours’ drive from Salt Lake City International Airport and less than two hours from Grand Junction Regional Airport in Colorado. 3. Summer isn’t the only season While the red rock and desert landscape evoke a sense of endless summer, winter isn’t so bad in Moab. In fact, it may be the ultimate cup of tea for a winter sport enthusiast (especially if a cup of tea is involved). The nearby La Sal Mountains and Manti La Sal National Forest host the perfect terrain for snowshoeing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Not to mention you might save a few bucks, too. Outside Adventure Guide advises visiting Moab in winter in order to find the best deals. 4. You might recognize it Nothing supernatural here. According to discovermoab.com, Moab was actually the backdrop to many blockbuster movies, including “Star Trek,” “The Lone Ranger,” “127 Hours” and “Mission Impossible: II.”
